Extended Care

Available for Students in Preschool through Grade 5 on our Los Altos campus

Our Extended Care programs offer a nurturing, neighborhood-like environment aligned with Waldorf principles, serving families in our school community. We provide two programs: one for preschool children and another for those in kindergarten through fifth grade. 

What to Expect:

  • Harmonious multi-age setting with rhythm and structure

  • Ample opportunities for free play

  • Relaxed, home-like atmosphere

  • Indoor and outdoor games, sand play, cooking, baking, and crafts

  • Seasonal activities with wooden toys, games, and books

Program Schedule and Hours

Program Start Dates

  • Grades 1-5: Tuesday, August 26, 2025

  • Kindergarten: Tuesday, September 2, 2025

  • Preschool School: Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Regular School Day Hours

  • Regularly-Scheduled Care: Until 5:45 PM

  • As-Needed Care: Until 5:00 PM

  • Parent-Teacher Conference Days

When: October 30-31, 2025 and March 12-13, 2026
Hours: 8:10 AM - 5:00 PM (by reservation during scheduled conference times)
Cost: $16.00 per hour (1-hour minimum)

Advance reservations are required and billed separately.

Seasonal Break Camps

February Break Camp

Dates: February 17-20, 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $400

Spring Break Camp

Dates: April 13-17, 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $500

Registration and payment are required in advance and charged separately from regular Extended Care.
