An Evolved Mission for WSP

After a thoughtful and collaborative process, the Board of Trustees has approved a new mission statement for Waldorf School of the Peninsula. The goal was simple but profound: to capture the heart of WSP’s purpose in words that honor our Waldorf roots while speaking to the unique context of Silicon Valley.

The new mission reads:

WSP sees humanity's fullest potential and brightest future in every student. Blending the forward-thinking spirit of Silicon Valley with Waldorf’s time-tested principles, we prepare students to lead courageous lives. Each day, students cultivate their capacities to learn, think, and act with purpose.

With this mission, WSP affirms its commitment to nurturing students who are not only academically capable, but also purposeful, ethical, and ready to meet the world with courage.
