Dear WSP Community,
What a joy it was to witness the Class of 2026 deliver their Commencement speeches this June. What a truly remarkable group of young people. Standing before us, each of them spoke with humility and confidence — some reflecting on a teacher who'd pushed them to think for themselves, others on the friendships that carried them through the years, others on the quiet courage it took to become who they are. In their differences, they shared something unmistakable: the curiosity, compassion, and resilience that Waldorf School of the Peninsula spends thirteen years cultivating in every child who walks through our doors.
That's the promise of a Waldorf School of the Peninsula education: students who grow up grounded and joyful, with the confidence to meet the future and the heart to help shape it.
None of it happens alone. A healthy school is made possible by a healthy home–school partnership, and in 2025–2026, you leaned in with your time, your talent, and your treasure in more ways than we can fully capture here. This report is our attempt to try anyway: to show you, in real numbers and real stories, what your partnership enabled this year.

04 - We ♥ our Volunteers
Many hands make light work.
WSP parents are highly involved. You served as hike and field trip chaperones, brought flowers, provided snacks, gave rides, wrangled spreadsheets, sewed costumes, dressed up at Winter Fair, crafted for the Benefit, cooked, baked, took photos, showed up at outreach events and open houses, and painted backdrops — and so much more.

The power of small gestures.
Some of the most powerful contributions aren't easy to track. They live in the unseen: the carpool ride offered without hesitation, the warm meal dropped off quietly during a family's hard season, the midday text to offer school pick-up.
To every parent, grandparent, and family friend who showed up in these quiet, unwavering ways — thank you.
06 - Grants
Grant Gratitude.
We are grateful to the WoodNext Foundation — the philanthropic effort of WSP alum parents Anthony Wood, Roku's founder and CEO, and his wife Susan — for renewing a $50,000 grant to support our Tuition Adjustment program for the 2025–2026 school year, part of their broader mission to advance human progress and remove obstacles to a fulfilling life.
Thanks to the City of San Jose for granting the Class of 2030 $3,470, which went directly toward rental fees for use of the Montgomery Theater.

07 - Leadership
Celebrating leadership.
For five years, Vikrant Batra has given WSP his energy, business acumen, and heart — first as Treasurer, then as President of the Board of Trustees. As he steps down this year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the impact he's had on our community.
