Donna Davies, Human Resources Specialist and Accounts Receivable Manager
Donna joins us from working as a home organizer and one more round of service at HP. She has a BA from the University of Minnesota in American Studies and a Certificate of Human Resources Management from UC Santa Cruz. She was a Staffing Rep at Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies for two years and spent two years as the the HR Administrator at Curtis Packaging in Connecticut. Her most recent educational venture is scuba diving, which provided a hard-won certificate. Delighted to be back in this Waldorf community, Donna was an active Room Parent during the nine years her son, Scott, was in the school; she founded the Art Festival, kept up the Costume Cupboard and founded a student choir with Dana Jain.
Gail Evenari, Communications and Marketing Manager
Gail has been working in the fields of education and communications since 1974. After completing her Master’s Degree and teaching for six years, she launched a full service design studio in San Francisco, writing and designing projects for corporations, nonprofits and textbook publishers. In 1994 she founded Maiden Voyage Productions, a nonprofit with the mission to develop original educational media. She has produced and directed four award-winning documentaries for public television and is currently working on Just Like Me, But Different, a multi-platform series that introduces children to global cultures and environments.
Jennifer Hanlon, Office Manager
Jennifer brings her enthusiasm for Waldorf education and her expertise in human relations, management and strategic planning to support administration, board and faculty. She has two children enrolled at our school.
Tanya Kudar, Enrollment Director
Tanya was born in Munich, Germany and moved to the U.S. as a young child with her mother to become the first Waldorf student at Mohala Pua Waldorf School in Honolulu, Hawai'i. (Her mother, Eva Kudar, was the school's founding kindergarten teacher). Tanya has a degree in Journalism and a Masters Degree in International Business Administration from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She spent almost 20 years in the Silicon Valley world of high tech sales and marketing and international travel, and she has found her way back to the Waldorf community through her two children. In addition to her responsibilities as Enrollment Director, Tanya is currently completing the first year of Waldorf teacher training.
Beth Lee, Business Manager
Beth was born and raised in Chicago and attended Mundelein College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in business administration. Beth became the business manager at the Santa Monica Waldorf School shortly after her daughters were enrolled. Their family relocated to Sunnyvale, California and joined our school. She has been part of our administrative staff, either in a full-time or part-time capacity, for more than nine years. Beth received a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University in the summer of 2002. Other professional positions she has held have been in banking, accounting and tax preparation.
Stephanie Rynas, Administrator
Stephanie is a recent graduate of the Rudolf Steiner College Teacher Training program. She has an MBA and several years of experience in corporate management, marketing and strategic planning. Her blend of Waldorf training and experience in the corporate world are a perfect match for helping our school move forward into an exciting future.
Lucy Valentine Wurtz, Development Director
Lucy was born in Washington D.C., but moved to the Bay Area when she was a young child. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's degree in political science, and completed the Coro Foundation's year-long Leadership Training Program in Public Affairs, where she served in internships in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, as well as a stint in Washington D.C. In the mid-80s, Lucy and her husband spent two years working as volunteers in Tanzania, East Africa. Professionally, Lucy worked for Senator Alan Cranston, wrote an instructors' manual and student study guide for a textbook on American politics, and in worked in public sector administration with an emphasis on strategic planning and government and community relations. Lucy served on WSP's Board from 2002-August 2007, where she focused on development and the start up of WSP's high school. She is currently enrolled in the Foundation Year Studies program with Rudolf Steiner College.
