INCOMING GRADES STUDENTS

- School and other Records: Grades, teacher reports, assessments and/or observations from the past two years.
- Grades Interview Form: Must be submitted with Application, Fee & Teacher Recommendation Form.
- Interview & Assessments: decided by WSP Admissions Team based on items #1-3 above. You and your child will meet with the class teacher and your child will be academically assessed by the teacher and also by our Ed Support Director.
Class Visit: Grades school students applying during the school year must visit the classroom (“shadow”) for a minimum of one, but in some cases up to two weeks prior to acceptance.
- Acceptance: The Waldorf School of the Peninsula Admissions Team and Early Childhood Teachers make all admissions decisions. The decisions are based on the Children’s Hour Observation Interviews for Kindergarten and Nursery, and for Grades, the application and supporting documents, the parent & child interviews and assessment, the classroom visit and the particular make up and needs of the class for which the child is applying, as well as available school space.
- Enrollment Contract: Upon acceptance to the school, an enrollment contact must be signed and accompanied by a non-refundable enrollment deposit to ensure your child’s space in the class.
